Overview:

The 3 Days Uganda Adventure Vacation Gorilla trekking safari takes you through the gorilla trekking haven of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which shelters 400 mountain gorillas. It takes you through the scenic landscapes of south western Uganda where the local Banana plantations and traditional range lands dotted with Ankole Long horned cattle gives you the taste of traditional Africa.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast at your place of stay, you will be picked up by our guide who will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will make your way out of Kampala heading to the south west before making a stop at the equator 77km from Kampala to perform water experiments that justify the existence of northern and southern hemispheres. It is also an ideal place for photography. Continue on your journey traversing through the Ankole rangelands where you may see Ankole long horned cattle grazing alongside zebras before making a stop at Igongo cultural center 12km to Mbarara for lunch. Proceed to Bwindi where you will arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Gorilla Forest Camp (Upmarket/luxury), Engagi lodge (Midrange/standard) or Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget/Basic).

Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience

Wake up for an early breakfast before assembling at the park headquarters Buhoma for briefing about the gorilla trekking activity at 08:00am. The forest of Bwindi dates back from the prehistoric era and is one of the few remaining Afro montane forests in East Africa. Due to its surviving of the last ice age, it has a great bio-diversity concentration including the endangered mountain gorillas. Other great flora will give you company as you traverse the dense thicket famously known as impenetrable forest while wildlife crossings and bird songs will never leave you abandoned in this ancient forest. The trek is a bit strenuous due to rugged terrain that characterizes the area. One hour is availed to you upon encountering of these close to human apes that will leave you with real belief of human evolution theory. Return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala.

After breakfast, embark on the journey back to Kampala traversing the lush country side of the south west Uganda with the overlooking Kigezi highlands nick named the Switzerland of Africa. Have a lunch stop at Igongo cultural center 12km past Mbarara town for lunch. You can also take a 30 – 40 minute tour of the Igongo cultural Museum. Continue with the drive to reach Kampala in the evening.
